Courses and interface language
Which learning courses are available?
The French → English course is available. English → Spanish can open only after its production catalogue has been approved and the rollout enables it for your account. The two quiz directions inside a course are not separate courses.
Does the interface language depend on my course?
On first launch, the interface follows your phone language, in French or English. After you choose a course, it uses that course’s supporting language: French to learn English, English to learn Spanish. Settings does not include an interface-language selector.
How do I add or switch courses?
Choose a course during onboarding or open Settings → Learning courses. A course marked unavailable cannot be activated. Your active course stays local to this device so another device cannot interrupt an open session.
Learning and progress
How does calibration work?
Calibration uses 16 to 20 interactions: four self-assessment cards followed by multiple-choice and typed answers. It estimates a vocabulary zone without automatically creating mastered words or scheduled memories.
Is progress separate for each course?
Yes. Calibration, knowledge, spaced-repetition memories, exploration, learning history, and vocabulary statistics stay inside their course. Your account, subscription, and daily habit are shared.
Why does a word come back?
Each tracked grammatical use and quiz direction has its own memory. A mistake brings that memory back sooner; correct recall lets FSRS increase the interval over time.
How does the shared streak work?
The first completed quiz of the day maintains the habit shared by both courses on this installation. Completing another quiz in the other course that day does not award the day twice. The streak is currently installation-local and is not advertised as syncing across devices.
Offline use and resuming
Can I use VocabRecall offline?
The app and its bundled French → English catalogue work without a connection for content already on the device. Previously loaded themes and cached word details may remain available too. Sign-in, sync, new themes, some audio, and custom-word enrichment require a connection.
Can I resume an interrupted quiz?
Yes. You can resume it for 24 hours on the same device and in the same course. VocabRecall checks the account and course context before restoring the session.
Account, subscription, and data
Does one subscription cover every course?
Yes. The subscription belongs to your account and does not need to be purchased again for another course. Management and refunds are handled by the store used for the purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Manage or cancel it from your Apple or Google Play subscriptions. Deleting your VocabRecall account does not automatically stop store billing.
What happens when I delete my account?
The request deletes the account and associated server data, then clears app-managed local data and signs the user out. Technical logs and records required by law may remain for their applicable retention period.
